Green Cities property conference tackles impacts of automation and AI

A Green Cities property conference has brought up the matter of industry disruption and the potential impacts of artificial intelligence and automation which the biggest property players in the country are bracing for.

A panel of industry heavyweights opened the conference in Melbourne and discussed the impact of increased automation on existing jobs. It noted that amidst inevitable change, the workforce and production processes must adapt.

The panel recognized the disadvantages of automation, such as displacement of employees, but it also pointed out the positive aspects of such disruption, with lateral thinking and the ability to synthesize ideas on higher demand in the coming workforce.
