A commercial building in The Rocks has been bought by Marks Henderson for $56 million. This included the strata plan with the car park and four levels of office space.
Marks Henderson is a private investor based in Melbourne that has started to purchase office buildings with a unique flair that would speak to start-ups and innovative businesses.
Director and property industry veteran Chris Marks stated, "We're finding that character appeals to the new-age, forward-looking tenants of today. They're not the ones who go into a traditional, boring office building. They don't wear ties, they don't work from 9 to 5."
Mr Marks said that he was not particularly interested in the neighbouring Sirius building but made the purchase mainly as a source of income.
