Office market booms: 19pc rise in inquiry points to strong 2018

Colliers International's Office Demand Index report suggests that the 19 per cent growth in office leasing inquiries in the last quarter of 2017 signals a continuation of strong activity in 2018.

Sydney inquiries increased by 6 percent while Perth rose by 257 per cent and Brisbane by 173 per cent. In contrast, Melbourne decreased by 9 per cent and Adelaide fell to 20 per cent. Note that inquiries are different from deals and are not guaranteed to lead to leasing transactions.

Whilst Melbourne's activity slows down, Sydney is expected to maintain its strength.
