Melbourne-based photographer Tom Blachford reveals a different side to Tokyo city, capturing details such as air conditioners, pipes, ducts and buildings in a style inspired by the sci-fi classic Blade Runner.
"I wanted to inject some mystery into the city and have the imagges be as confusing and mysterious as the place feels to me every time I visit," says Blachford.
From 9pm until sunrise, Blanchford worked through a selection of approximately 20 buildings, highlighting the unique Japanese architecture with modern glass towers.
