Architecture and planner Urbis has secured a large lease at AMP Capital’s Angel place for about 3800 square metre of office space.
Urbis has relocated from Sydney’s western corridor to Angel Place at 123 Pitt Street. With the early exit of the law firm Dibs Barker, levels 8 and 9 are freed. Dibs Barker relinquished its lease following its acquisition by global firm Dentons last March.
Signing a 10-year lease, Urbis was attracted to the column-free floor plates of the office. The rent remains confidential but understood to be higher than the previous tenant’s rate. Asking net annual rents in the building hover between $1100 and $1300 a square metre.
"The strength of the Sydney office market has motivated us to optimise and enhance our investor returns," AMP Capital office and industrial managing director Luke Briscoe said.
