Drivas Proposes Major Upgrades to Heritage-Listed Sydney Tower

Sydney-based developer Dimitri Drivas submitted a proposal for the $32-million extension of the heritage-listed “International House” on Bathurst Street to the City of Sydney. Drivas Property Group will construct an additional seven floors of commercial space.

Drivas is proposing to add 8971 square metres of commercial space on top of the existing 5921 square metres of mixed-use space.

Revamps will include repairing the building’s heritage facade and internal upgrades to the existing ground floor shop fronts, basement and six commercial floor plates. The upgrade is estimated to cost around $32.7 million.

Architects Tanner Kibble Denton have been engaged by Drivas to undertake the upgrade of a historical building that first served as a factory and showroom for a bicycle manufacturer Bennett & Wood in 1908.
