All intersection works in the CBD are now underway with construction work at the Park, George and Druitt intersection having started in April. The work included investigations and kerb demolition.
Preparations have been done for smart poles which will be installed to provide street lighting on George Street between Goulburn and Bathurst Streets. Stormwater works continued at the Hunter Street and Margaret Street intersection while 60 metres of double track were installed in zone 4, George Street between Margaret Street and King Street. Track has also been completed across the intersection at Market Street.
Crews worked on seven intersections over the Easter break along Market and George Streets, Bathurst and George Streets, Devonshire and Elizabeth Streets, Devonshire and Kippax Streets, Bourke and Devonshire Streets, Alison Road/Davey Avenue and Anzac Parade, and High and Botany Streets.
