Crews continue to make progress on the light rail with 3.5 kilometres of track now installed in the Central Business District.
Installation of conduits, preparations for smart pole footings and kerb works have been done over the weekend at the intersection of Bridge and Grosvenor Streets.
Weekend works enabled the crews to pour the sub base layer of track, install waterproofing and undertake investigation for smart pole placements at the Market Street intersection. Tracks were placed over the intersection during the Easter weekend works.
More than 90 per cent of track was completed in Zone 8 on George Street between Liverpool and Bathurst Streets, and Zone 13 on Eddy Avenue between Pitt Street and Elizabeth Street.
