EY Centre at 200 George Street in Sydney won the country's top commercial architecture award
The Mirvac-developed and fjmt-designed office tower – which houses both the developer and anchor tenant, consulting firm EY, and is one of Australia's first WELL certified buildings – won The Harry Seidler Award for Commercial Architecture for bringing what the jury called a "distinctively public character" to part of the Sydney CBD undergoing great change.
"We think it sets a new benchmark for how to deal with urban towers and is one which adds to the public experience of the city, as opposed to separating themselves from that," jury chairman Ken Maher told The Australian Financial Review.
