Sydney’s Circular Quay will have its first co-working space after Hub Australia sealed a lease across two floors of the historic House from the City of Sydney.
Opening on August 2019, the Hub Custom House will be located on levels 3 and 4 of the building. The 2341 sq m space is half the size of the Hyde Park site, but wants to tap into smaller business market and international companies seeking premium workspace in the CBD.
"It's relatively small by comparison with other spaces we operate, but it's too good an opportunity to pass up, being able to operate Hub in that building," said Brad Krauskopf, Hub founder.
"Bringing co-working to Circular Quay will be a first. We're finding more and more people are happy to have a premium location and premium amenity because they're trying to attract the best staff to their business."
The Hub moving in to Sydney shows the evolution of the business and co-working more generally.
