Investa completes Barrack Place office development in Sydney CBD

The doors have opened at Investa’s Barrack Place in the Sydney CBD with the 23-storey tower almost fully leased. The tower was valued at $355 million in May when it was 83% leased, indicating an end value that could touch $430 million or more.

Along with a six-star Green Star and five-star NABERS energy rating target, the high-tech project lays claim to the country’s first ever WELL Core & Shell gold pre-certification.

The building, designed by Architectus and engineered by Arup, incorporates an array of technologies to improve sustainability such as advanced air filtration and microbe-killing UV lamps. It is one of the first buildings to use smart sensor technology in all of its lighting, potentially reducing electricity costs by as much as 78 per cent.
